Code of Ethical Business

IMB depends on its reputation for competence and integrity
Our adherence to strict ethical standards has contributed in a very significant way to both the professionalism and the credibility of IMB Class in the International Marine market. Anything damaging Dromon Bureau of Shipping's reputation for integrity and competence must be avoided.
Every employee of IMB is expected to act in accordance with the highest standards of ethics. Our engineers, surveyors, administrative and other employees must always realise that their activities will reflect on IMB Class as a whole. The responsibility for the reputation of our Organisation depends on each and every one of us.
Ethics is a set of rules of conduct people agree to abide by. With our diverse personal backgrounds, we do not assume that those rules are self-evident to anyone. It is therefore appropriate to document a code of ethical business conduct for DIMB Class.
This IMB Code of Ethical Business Conduct is not meant to be a set of instructions but rather to provide documented guidance to our employees world-wide which may guide them in their professional but also private life. The observance of this code of ethical business conduct is an essential measure for ensuring the continued safeguarding of the reputation of IMB Class.
IMB Class concentrates its Code of Ethical Business in the following areas:
- Quality
- Integrity
- Conflict of Interest
- Corrupt Practices
- Confidentiality
- Classification
- Political Lobbying
- Civil Activities and Charitable Contributions
- Alcohol and Drug Abuse
IMB of Shipping Management continuously reviews and revises the Code when deemed necessary in order to ensure that the Code covers current challenges.
